History

Ally Inc. was created in 2004 and incorporated in 2005 with an initial focus on helping Microsoft with their integrated partner marketing efforts, from building partner ecosystems from scratch to introducing new programs and approaches to their existing partners. That business grew organically from a partner focus to include integrated marketing, product marketing, services and internal collaboration and performance management. With the change in our focus and expansion, our skills and wisdom grew. We expanded our offerings based on the challenges our clients were having, to become the full-service marketing firm we are today.

We realized that the integrated marketing machine we had built and the specific skills and disciplines we had amassed were quite valuable to a range of other companies both large and small. At a time when the consulting industry has seen a mass expansion of body shop near-sourcing to just fill a seat with a competent resource, we had resisted the urge to grow our team by incorporating nameless, faceless, drones whose skillset we did not know. Instead we opted to build an integrated team that aligned specifically with our client’s stated marketing objectives, and train them to focus on the business opportunities that aligned with our company vision.

In 2007 we began working with other firms outside of Microsoft, and today we are proud of our portfolio of world class companies, industry leaders, as well as our local Washington businesses that we support.

Naming

Until 2010 we were known internally at Microsoft as Ally Marketing. This name was intended to convey our value proposition to clients of becoming their trusted resource in all aspects of their marketing.

In 2007 we launched the Allytics brand with a set of scorecard and BI offerings that were successful helping large companies drive accountability, measurement and performance management.

Allytics has become our core brand and speaks to the importance of knowing the impact of marketing, measuring what you do, and analyzing the results for insight.

Neil has played many roles over the past two decades—from corporate manager to entrepreneur to artist. With over a decade at Microsoft, plus two years as COO of Opal Enterprises, Neil offers a solid understanding of business structure, while providing and encouraging outside-the-box thinking. Neil provides deep insights into in strategy, marketing, partner development, and sales. He believes that hard work, strategic thinking, and adding a little imagination leads to true success.

When Neil isn’t leading his Allytes and clients to victory, he’s a musician, solo artist, band member, audio engineer, and producer.

Dunya brings over 15 years of marketing and program management experience to Allytics, all of which have been focused on client service and delivering marketing results. Dunya thrives on taking a client’s challenge and building the appropriate solution, while effectively managing the project team, overall quality, and client expectations. She ensures the end-user’s goals are managed alongside of the client’s objectives to deliver an integrated experience across marketing channels.

When Dunya isn't making sure all cylinders of the Allytics engine are firing, she can be found traveling, enjoying sporting events, or at the driving range with her kids.

Robert Doi, Vice President

Robert brings over 20 years of product and partner sales and marketing, program management and finance experience to Allytics. Robert spent the last 18 years at Microsoft and was responsible for the marketing and releases of Office 2007, Windows 2000 Server, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7/8. In addition, Robert has deep experience in partner ecosystem development, IT audience marketing, competitive marketing and partner incentives. Robert is passionate over the identification and delivery against client’s needs through the co-development of an integrated marketing solution, effectively managing all stakeholders within the project team, overall quality, timeliness and exceeding client expectations. He thrives on taking on big challenges such as owning sales and deployment quotas for Windows Vista, partner and field activation in support of incubation products and mitigating software security vulnerabilities.

When Robert isn't meeting and delivering for clients, he can be found skiing, biking and stand-up paddle boarding.

We have an immediate need for a Product Marketer with a focus on enterprise software and cloud computing. This position will challenge and reward a strategic thinker who can not only dive deep into highly technical material, but can also craft a strong compelling marketing message that effectively captures the value of our customers’ solutions. As the Product Marketer, you will provide specialized services that assist our project leads in crafting high value marketing content as well as developing whitepapers and other materials.

The ideal candidate for this position should have a 200-level understanding of Microsoft enterprise software and cloud computing. This role is for a marketing expert that understands the full product lifecycle of enterprise software, cloud computing and corresponding business processes.

The Product Marketer provides thought leadership within the marketing organization and is responsible for regular communications with program managers, marketing managers and marketing specialists. This position requires the ability to consume, understand, and translate deep technical messages either from source documents, or from client and SME interviews, and translate that content into more readily consumable marketing materials without losing the value, or corrupting the story. The right candidate will be adept at plugging into groups already engaged, quickly ramp up on core subject matter, and be able to drive execution against plan with little to no oversight. This individual will demonstrate solid working knowledge of Microsoft related technologies and will be well versed in various Microsoft competitive technologies.

This role calls for an individual who can demonstrate sound analytical, documentation, and communication skills and be technically knowledgeable to gain credibility with customers and stakeholders, most of whom are technical professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand business requirements and help define and estimate the scope of work and work breakdown structure
  • Leverage an understanding of technology to create marketing messages by translating product features into business benefits; integrate technical marketing into larger marketing projects maintaining consistency to vision & message, as well as the ability to formulate technical marketing materials with minimal set direction
  • Educate organization on available and emerging toolsets

The Graphic Designer will work closely with the Creative Director and the rest of the creative team. We have a very high quality bar, but - yes, we know - our website needs an overhaul (clients come first).

Responsibilities:
  • Create high-end graphics for a range of clients; includes presentations, web layouts, infographics, handouts, online ads, brand identity, vector art, and more
  • Assist in the development of project scopes and specifications
  • Create and maintain project documentation including task tracking and reporting
  • Work with the creative team on maintaining and developing best practices for design, branding, file management, and other processes
  • Perform other tasks as requested by manager
Requirements:
  • 2+ years experience in graphic design, preferably in an agency environment
  • Lovely portfolio of work highlighting skills and talent
  • Intermediate/expert knowledge of the Adobe Suite, specifically PhotoShop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Familiarity with web layout design best practices and processes
  • Familiarity with Windows OS and Microsoft Office
  • Proven creative skills - the ability to create visually appealing representations of complex information in a timely manner
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor's Degree in Design, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, and Flash is a plus
  • HTML and Javascript/Jquery knowledge is a plus
